From 19 November 2024, a new attention source is available in Altmetric - Clinical Guidelines.

Clinical guidelines are broadly defined as documents that offer recommendations for clinicians and healthcare practitioners on how to manage and treat specific medical conditions or support decision-making in patient care. Given the impact clinical guidelines have on real-world medical practice, attention to research as reflected in these documents can be extremely valuable to anyone seeking to create or report on narratives of impact.

At the time of launch, the database of clinical guidelines we track attention from in Altmetric includes over 16,000 documents with research mentions from 1,852 unique organizations, with plans to continue growing over time.
